racing cartsSpring break doesn’t always mean sand and sun. If you’re planning to spend some time in the Smoky Mountains during your break from school, work and schedules, we have three fun and new things to do in Pigeon Forge that should be at the top of your vacation bucket list.

Although Dollywood hasn’t been a new Pigeon Forge attraction since 1986, there are new additions each year. In 2014, Dolly Parton unveiled the new FireChaser Express, dual launch coaster propelling riders forward and back in one ride. Also changed this year is the theme park’s Show Street. Upon entering the gates, guests are now welcomed by a brand new entry and plaza. While enjoying the new look of the park, guests can also now enjoy a sweet treat at Dippin’ Dots.

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday-Friday 10:00am-7:00pm
Saturday 10:00am-8:00pm

Dollywood
2700 Dollywood Parks Blvd
Pigeon Forge, TN

Open late in 2013, the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is a thrilling new attraction in the Smoky Mountains that winds vacationers down the hills of the Smokies. As the longest downhill track in the country, the looping one-mile track gives riders the opportunity to control their own speed through some of the best views of the mountains, even during sunshine and snowfall.

Monday-Thursday 10:00am-5:00pm
Friday-Sunday 10:00am-7:30pm

Another new addition to Pigeon Forge is Xtreme Racing Center. If you love adrenaline-pumping fun, their professional racing-grade go-karts can reach top speeds up to 40 miles per hour. There are single and dual ride options that race around the track. Those who want a tradition experience can also enjoy racing along an elevated track in standard karts.

Monday-Sunday 9:00am-11:30pm

Xtreme Racing Center
3144 Parkway
Pigeon Forge, TN
