Pigeon Forge Winterfest lightsThe city of Pigeon Forge spends weeks preparing for the yearly Winterfest celebrations that cover the area. Thousands of visitors make their way to the area for the festivities; in order to make the most of your Smoky Mountain vacation, you should book your stay as early as possible!

The Winterfest event in Pigeon Forge kicks off on November 12 with a huge celebration at Patriot Park, then continues through February 28. The event begins at 5 p.m. at Patriot Park in Pigeon Forge, with fun games and entertainments for families while they wait on the lights to shine bright. After the 5 million lights are lit across the town, families will be able to see a magical fireworks display. Kids are sure to have a great time at the event, so bring the entire family!

The lights stay on through February, so vacationers can see them any time throughout the holiday season! For visitors that can’t make it to the kick off, the Pigeon Forge trolley system makes it easy to see all of the lights! Their trolley tour is $5 per person and tours families through Pigeon Forge to see all of the sparkling lights. The Pigeon Forge trolley runs three times per night in November and December at 6:30p.m., 7:45p.m. and 9p.m. In January and February, the trolley tours will only run on Mondays and Fridays.
