Easter weekend is an excellent opportunity to take a vacation with the whole family! Providing breathtaking scenery and plenty of things to do, Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains are the ideal destination for your getaway. Amazing Views has put together a list of the top benefits you’ll enjoy when you celebrate the holiday at our Great Smoky Mountain cabins.

1. Lodging for Small Celebrations or Big Get-Togethers

Whether you want to spend Easter with just your immediate family or you’re planning a family reunion with the whole clan, you’ll find the perfect lodging in the Smokies. Our 2 bedroom cabins have everything a family of 4 needs for a quiet holiday celebration in the mountains.

Alternatively, you can rent one of our large group cabins and invite all of your aunts, uncles, and cousins to join you on your Easter vacation. Our largest cabin, Smokin’ View Lodge, sleeps up to 31 guests in 10 bedrooms! With a home theater room, a game room, and unparalleled views, this cabin is a destination in itself.

2. A Chance to Meet the Easter Bunny

If you have young children in your family, consider signing up for the annual Breakfast or Brunch with the Easter Bunny at The Old Mill Pottery House Cafe & Grille. Your little ones will have the chance to meet Mr. Bunny himself while enjoying some delicious food from one of the best restaurants in the Smokies. Additional activities include Easter egg decorating, old-fashioned games, and kid friendly music. To reserve your spot at the table, call 865-406-6558.

3. The Beauty of Spring in the Smoky MountainsWildflowers growing near a fence in a scenic Smoky Mountain meadow.

Spring is one of the most scenic times of the year to visit the Smoky Mountains! The weather is gorgeous, with highs in the 60s, and beautiful wildflowers are blooming everywhere you turn. During your Easter vacation, you can take advantage of the lovely climate and spend lots of time in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Some of our favorite hikes for wildflower viewing include the Cove Hardwood Nature Trail, Little River Trail, and Porters Creek Trail.

Of course, you can also enjoy the spring scenery right at our Great Smoky Mountain cabins. Take a soak in the hot tub on your deck, or lean back in a rocking chair, as you admire the majesty of the Smokies covered in greenery.

4. An Easter Service Like No Other

For a totally unique way to observe the holiday, head to Ober Gatlinburg for their Easter Sunrise service. Complimentary tram rides from downtown Gatlinburg up to the ski resort will be available beginning at 5:45 a.m., and the service will start at 6:30 a.m. After the sermon, you can stick around for a tasty breakfast buffet. For more information, visit the Ober Gatlinburg website .

5. Traditional Easter Meals

When you celebrate Easter in the Smokies, you’ll have the chance to prepare a classic holiday meal right in your cabin. Our properties come with fully furnished kitchens, so all you need to provide is the ingredients. If you would rather leave the cooking to someone else, the area is home to a number of fantastic restaurants that serve delicious holiday fare.
