If you’ll remember, Dollywood closed its doors on January 4, 2014 after their Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration came to an end. Luckily, Dollywood didn’t plan for a long closing period. Every year, the Pigeon Forge attraction shuts down for the coldest months and reopens sometime in March for their new season.

Everyone will be pleased to hear that Dollywood will be reopening its doors, ready for another exciting season, on March 22, 2014. On March 22, the Pigeon Forge amusement park will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
During their closing, the park has worked on the construction of the new ride that will be open at the beginning of the new season. Dollywood is excited to introduce the first stage of Dolly’s $300 million expansion to visitors on March 22. Visitors will be able to experience the first dual-launch roller coaster, FireChaser Express, starting this March!
Dollywood has not announced any other changes to the park for the 2014 season just yet. So, guests will be able to experience the exciting thrill rides, musical shows and delicious southern snacks while wandering through the park.
