The Pigeon Forge trolley is one of the best options for visitors who want to relax and not worry about driving. Better yet,when you stay in one of Amazing Views’ Pigeon Forge cabin rentals, you will be able to take a really short drive to the nearest trolley stop, park the car closeby and spend the rest of the day enjoying the sights and sounds of the Smokies from the passenger’s seat.

The Pigeon Forge trolley started running in 1986. Their mission, which remains the same today, was to create a safe, affordable and convenient transportation option to all Smoky Mountain visitors.

Now, the Pigeon Forge trolley system operates over 30 trolley vehicles. Since there’s so many vehicles making their way around Pigeon Forge, there’s plenty of trolley vehicles around, so you don’t have to sit and wait for long.

Today, visitors can hop on a trolley at over 100 stops throughout Pigeon Forge alone. You can get on and off the trolley as many times as you’d like throughout the day, so it’s convenient to you. All you have to do is stop at one of the many Pigeon Forge trolley stops, and the trolley will arrive quickly to service you and your group.

The Pigeon Forge trolley schedule is simple:

  • Early March through October: Daily from 8 a.m. to midnight.
  • November and December: Daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Keep in mind, the Pigeon Forge trolley service is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The Pigeon Forge trolley fares vary depending on the drive. The trolley driver won’t have money to make change, so make sure you have exact change for each trip. Children (ages 3 and younger) can ride the trolley for free. These trolley prices are per person, per ride:

  • North Parkway (.50)
  • South Parkway (.50)
  • Gatlinburg Welcome Center (.75)
  • Dollywood (.50)
  • Dolly’s Splash Country (.50)
  • Wears Valley (.50)

You can purchase a day pass for $2.50 per person. This is definitely the best deal if you plan to ride the trolley for the entire day. This way, you can get on and off the trolley as many times as you’d like, without worrying about finding exact change. If you plan to make multiple stops, save the money and buy a day pass!
