What type of entertainment will there be at the Great American Summer?
The Great American Summer will feature a ton of amazing shows! Here are just a few of the performances going on during the festival:
Gazillion Bubbles is the brainchild of world renowned bubble artist Fan Yang. This captivating show combines lasers, special effects, and (of course) a whole lot of bubbles!
The Little Engine Playhouse brings children’s books to life with three 20 minute musicals composed by Dolly Parton. Children will love singing along to these catchy original songs. Parents are welcome to join in too!
My People stars members of Dolly’s family, including her brother Randy and her sister Cassie. This exclusive musical show chronicles the incredible story of the Parton clan.
The Great American Country Show features six singers, a six piece band, and special appearances from some of the biggest names in country music. Different GACTV guests will stop by Dollywood throughout the summer to take part in this awesome show.
When do Dolly’s Nights of Many Colors fireworks start?
Every evening during the Great American Summer, guests are treated to an amazing fireworks display! Set to a Dolly Parton penned song called “Paint Your Dreams Across the Sky”, these gorgeous technicolor fireworks are the perfect way to end your day at Dollywood.
The “Nights of Many Colors” begin at 9:30 p.m., a half hour before the park closes for the evening.
There are really no bad places to watch the fireworks display. Some of our favorite viewing areas in the theme park include Adventures in Imagination, Country Fair, Timber Canyon, and the Front Gate.
New for this season, Dollywood is also offering a Premium Fireworks Experience. Guests get to watch the display from special seats at FireChaser Express and SkyZip while they munch on popcorn and enjoy a bottled drink. This premium package costs $15, and can be purchased on the official Dollywood website.
