Men, women and children can take in the beauty of the light show by riding the Gatlinburg Winter Magic Trolley Ride of Lights to soak in the scenery. The trolley rides are designed for the visitors comfort and enjoyment. Hop on the trolley at the Ripley’s Aquarium Trolley Station and enjoy the comfortable ride that is led by an experienced guide tour. The ride takes about 45 minutes, and visitors are in awe at the amazing lights that dance through the city of Gatlinburg. The weather during this time of year is chilly during the evening hours; therefore, you should be sure to dress appropriately for the trolley ride.
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, Gatlinburg offers the Winter Magic Tales & Tunes live program. This is a weekend of free entertainment and activities for everyone in the family.
During the festive holiday season, Zeno has a great time greeting visitors and residents of the city. Zeno is the official bear of Gatlinburg. The Christmas carol singers dress up as if they lived back in the Dickens days. The feeling in Gatlinburg is like you are back in the olden days when the carolers went door to door to fill each and every home with the magical gift of Christmas music.
To end the festive season, families come to Gatlinburg to enjoy the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks display on December 31st.
