People descend upon Gatlinburg, Tennessee all year round for family vacations and couples retreats, but the area is growing in popularity for yet another great reason. To help you plan a great night out, Amazing Views has put together four of our favorite activities for groups staying at our cabins close to downtown Gatlinburg:
1. Check Out Our Nightlife
While Gatlinburg is known as a family friendly destination, that doesn’t change the fact that there is a nice selection of nightlife options. Choose your designated driver or have a taxi pick you up at your cabin. Cab fare will very reasonable when you stay at one of our cabins near downtown.
Everyone enjoys a night out at their favorite bar, and your group is sure to find a new favorite spot right here in Gatlinburg. Your group may like Loco Burro, where you can dine on exemplary Mexican cuisine, enjoy the live band, sample some fine drinks on the rooftop next to the fire pit, or even take your turn riding the electric donkey! You may also like to try out your karaoke skills while enjoying delicious crawfish and fun drinks at Crawdaddy’s, or your group can stop into Hogg’s Upstairs Taverne for a great party atmosphere and maybe even some dancing on the bar.
At Pucker’s Bar and Grill, you can try out your karaoke skills, make some requests to the DJ, and dance the night away. Excellent homemade food, great drinks, and live bands draw in the crowds at the Hard Rock Cafe, and you may also want to stop by Club 812 to experience the largest dance floor in town.

2. Head to the Theatre
There are several amazing restaurants located in Gatlinburg, and you can catch a terrific show after dinner at the Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre. This musical comedy attraction has been drawing in crowds since 1977, and you should be prepared to laugh the night away. A variety of shows are offered each season, so even if you’ve been to the theatre before, you’re guaranteed a new experience each time you visit.
3. Enjoy Free Moonshine Tasting
A Tennessee tradition, making moonshine is no longer an illicit activity, but rather a thriving business. Downtown Gatlinburg is home to a number of moonshine distilleries, including Ole Smoky, Doc Collier, Davy Crockett’s, and Sugarlands. All of these great places encourage visitors to enjoy free samples of their products. Taste a variety of flavors, such as apple pie, blackberry, and sweet tea, and grab a jar to take back to our cabins close to downtown Gatlinburg!
4. Go Ziplining at Night
For those who are looking for something other than traditional nightlife, there are still some great group activities for your night out. Adventurous visitors are sure to love the seasonal nighttime zipline tours at CLIMB Works. When you take this evening canopy tour, you’ll be able to see the beautiful night sky as you zipline across the trees and enjoy the crisp mountain air.
