TripAdvisor for Android, iPhone, and Blackberry (Free)
Using your location information, this app provides access to thousands of reviews of local restaurants, hotels, and attractions. It allows you to sign in with your Facebook account so that you can save information on places you are interested in visiting. If you are not exactly sure what you would like to do on a particular day, you can browse by location and activity. You can add your review of places you have visited and even discuss your experience on the forums right from your phone.

This beautiful app provides detailed information on the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you just need the information on the Smokies, then this app is completely free as it allows you one free park download. Additional park guides are just 99 cents and can be purchased in the app. On the park’s home screen, you can see the current weather conditions and have access to detailed information about the park. the app makes suggestions on what to do and see while visiting the Smokies. For trivia enthusiasts, there is a section called Park Secrets that provided fun facts about the park. The map portion of this app provides a map of the park with color-coded pin points such as photo spots, camping and lodging information, and points of interest. It allows you to filter the information depending on your interests and the season you are visiting the park.
