Daredevils will love Dollywood’s thrilling rides, including the Lightning Rod, the world’s fastest wooden roller coaster. The theme park is also home to a great collection of less intense family rides and a number of kiddie rides that are perfect for your little ones.
Even if you never set foot on a ride, you can still have a blast at Dollywood! Guests will enjoy wonderful music shows that feature country, gospel, and bluegrass. The theme park is also home to some superb restaurants and snack shops. Dollywood’s freshly baked cinnamon bread is out of this world!
2. The Old Mill Square
The Old Mill is arguably the most iconic of all the Pigeon Forge points of interest. This gristmill was constructed in 1830 and still grinds grain into flour today. When you visit The Old Mill during your vacation, you will find some of the area’s very best restaurants and shops. Both The Old Mill Restaurant and The Old Mill Pottery House Cafe use freshly ground flour from the gristmill to create their delicious dishes and baked goods.
The Old Mill General Store is the perfect place to buy some fun souvenirs and speciality food items. You can even purchase a bag of duck food, so you can make some feathered friends along the Little Pigeon River next to the mill. Other highlights of The Old Mill Square include the candy kitchen, blacksmith shop, distillery, pottery shop, and creamery.

3. Titanic Museum Attraction
The Titanic Museum Attraction is a can’t-miss stop for history buffs or anyone who loves the 1997 Titanic movie. This unique museum is actually shaped like the famous ocean liner! While the outside of the attraction is a half scale recreation of the RMS Titanic, the inside of the museum features full scale recreations of rooms from the ship, including the breathtaking grand staircase.
Guests at the museum will have the chance to see over 400 artifacts from the real Titanic! Everyone who visits the Titanic Museum Attraction is given a card with the biography of an actual passenger on the ship. At the end of your tour, you get to discover the fate of your passenger. This attraction is filled with interactive exhibits and is great for children as well as a adults.
4. The Island
The Island is Pigeon Forge’s top shopping and entertainment complex. Located right off of the Parkway, this fun area is home to more than 60 shops and boutiques, a great collection of restaurants, and a number of fun things to do.
The most famous attraction at The Island is the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, a 200 ft. tall ferris wheel that offers breathtaking views of Pigeon Forge and the mountains. Other popular spots at The Island include the Margaritaville restaurant, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, the Alcatraz East crime museum, and the Ole Smoky Moonshine Barn.
5. Dixie Stampede
Dixie Stampede is billed as “The Most Fun Place to Eat in the Smokies”, and it’s easy to see why! This hugely popular dinner show features incredible horseback riding stunts, impressive dance numbers, and original music from Dolly Parton.
